We are pleased to introduce to you the founders, faculty and steering committee of Yeshivat Talpiot.

Yeshivat Talpiot was founded by a group of colleagues who felt passionately about the importance of critical and open discussion of religious life and politics in Israel. Meeting in each others homes and learning together over a period of two years, the faculty of Yeshivat Talpiot created a shared language and methodology that enabled them to draw out deep moral and religious meaning through critical analysis of the Talmud. In their classes today they tackle the complex goal of reading ancient texts in an authentic and relavent way. This critical and honest approach will enable students to think independently about personal and communal religious choices. In turn our students will act as leaders in their communities and in Israeli society at large.
